Jewelry care

A little wear and tear fits the MF concept—tiny scratches over time tell the story of your jewelry, making each piece uniquely yours. That said, here’s how to keep your pieces looking cute while letting them age gracefully.

All pieces are made from a mixture of sterling and recycled silver. Exposure to air can cause oxidation, dulling the shine and leading to tarnish.

The best way to prevent tarnishing is with proper care. Avoid contact with water, chemicals, and extreme temperatures. Always remove your jewelry before swimming, exercising, cleaning, or applying beauty products. When not in use, store it in airtight packaging.

Tarnish only affects the surface and can be easily removed with regular cleaning. Use a silver polishing cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth to maintain its shine. For a deeper clean, wash with mild soap and warm water, gently scrubbing with a soft brush (like a toothbrush) if needed. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners, and always dry your jewelry thoroughly after rinsing.

It’s best to clean your jewelry at the first signs of tarnish, as buildup becomes harder to remove over time.

For storage, a ziplock bag or tightly sealed jar works best to minimize air exposure.

If you’d like to restore your jewelry’s original high polish, any professional jeweler should be able to help!
